Note
CS Degree Day 16
Overview
I’ve got back on track. Finished 5 lectures today and also gave an exam. I finally learned about lagrange multiplier. I’ve heard about it atleast twice in my life. Once I was trying to find the best way to distribute my time & efforts on various ventures, so as to maximize returns. At the time I did not know what were optimization problems, min-max critical points, or even derivatives. But somehow, in my research I came across lagrange multiplier. After computing the results on some online tool, the verdict was to spend majority of free time on education and rest on practical applications.
What I did today?
5 lectures of Calculus 18.02 and Exam 2.
- Differentials- Chain rule
- Gradients, Directional derivative
- Lagrange Multiplier
- Non-Independent Variable
- Partial Differential Equation
